Although Chelsea has targeted some players to sign this summer, the club is yet to complete any valid deal, hence, the club will be under pressure to sign some players, because the other top 5 clubs in the league have completed some deals.

Thus, we will be looking at the total deals that have been completed by the “top 5” clubs in the Premier League so far this summer, while Chelsea is yet to complete any deal.

• Manchester City

The first player Manchester City signed this summer was Erling Haaland. Manchester City signed the player from Borussia Dortmund with a transfer fee of €60 million, plus add-ons. The player will now be playing as a forward player for the Premier League side next season.

After signing Haaland, Manchester City signed Kalvin Phillips, whose deal was recently completed and then announced as the team’s player.

The last player signed (so far) is Ortega, who joined the club as a free agent. Hence, he will be a substitute for Ederson in next season’s games.

• Liverpool

Just like Manchester City, Liverpool has also signed a striker this summer, and thus, the two teams are increasing the strength of the team. Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica, after which the club signed Carvalho and Ramsay.

Hence, both Manchester City and Liverpool have signed three (3) players so far this summer.

• Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham is one of the “top 6” clubs in the Premier League that has been fully involved in the summer transfer. While both Manchester City and Liverpool have signed only 3 players this summer, Tottenham has actively signed four (4) players so far.

The club has signed Ivan Perisic, Richarlison, Bissouma, and Forster; two of which joined the club as free agents.

• Arsenal

Just like Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal has been fully involved in the summer transfer, having signed four (4) players so far. The club has signed one striker, and one major attacking midfielder, amongst others.

Arsenal has completed the deal with Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Turner and Marquinhos.

• Manchester United

Manchester United has also shown great interest in the summer transfer and has been able to complete one deal so far. As much as the team has a lot of transfer targets, the club has only been able to sign one player.

Thus, Manchester United signed Tyrell Malacia this summer, and the deal with the player has been completed. Hence, he will be playing as a left-back for Manchester United next season.

Thus, among the “top 6” clubs in the Premier League, only Chelsea is yet to complete a deal with any player; rather, the club is still pushing hard to sign some players this summer.
