The deputy PM delivered a powerful message of condolences at General Ogalla’s funeral ceremony hence earning praises from a section of Kenyans and Tanzanians.
Doto was invited to address mourns at CDF Ogolla’s burial ceremony by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign & Diaspora Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi.
He started his address by delivering President Samia’s condolence message to President William Ruto, Ogolla’s family, and Kenyans at large.
“Mheshimiwa Dr William Ruto, Rais wa Jamhuri ya Kenya na Mama Rachel Ruto, Waheshimiwa viongozi wote, tukiongozwa na makamu wa Rais. Ndugu zangu waombolezaji wote, Bwana Yesu asifiwe.
Mheshimiwa Rais, nimesimama hapa kwa niaba ya Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, Rais wa Jamhuri ya Tanzania, ambaye baada ya kupata taarifa ya kuondokewa na mkuu wa majeshi hapa nchini, yeye pamoja an watanzania wote wanaungana na wewe kukupa pole nyingi kwa msiba mkubwa ulioupata,”Deputy PM Doto Biteko said in part.
He went on to also console General Ogolla’s family, relaying his heartfelt condolence to them for losing a loved one.
“Wewe pamoja na family ya Marehemu na wakenya wote na vyombo vya ulinzi na usalama nchi Kenya kwa kuondokewa na kiongozi mashuhuri. Kiongozi ambaye, bila shaka kwa maneno yaliyosemwa hapa ameandika kurasa nyingi zitakazo somwa na vizazi vinavyokuja.
“Mheshimiwa Rais, Mheshimiwa Samia Suluhu Hassan anakutakia moyo wa subira wakati huu mgumu, wewe pamoja na familia ya marehemu. Lakini muhimu sana kwa wakenya wote and wale wote aliowaongoza,”
Doto noted that listening to leaders and other mourners pay tribute to Gen Ogolla, it is evident that he lived his life well and will be a good role model to the youth.

Doto Mashaka Biteko?
Biteko is a Tanzanian politician and a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi political party.
He was elected MP representing Bukombe in 2015. Later, he was appointed as the Minister of Minerals on 9 January 2019 by the late President John Magufuli.
He continued his tenure as the Minister of Minerals under the new president Samia Suluhu Hassan until 31 August 2023.
On 1 September 2023, he was promoted in the role of Vice Prime Minister of Tanzania, only the third-ever person to hold the title.
