Speaking at a Church service, Ruto said that many people criticized him and thought that he was not thinking right when he said that he will get rid of subsidy and subsidize production instead.
Ruto stated that despite vehement opposition over his stance last year, today the country is food secure thanks to production subsidy that he initiated last year. He stated that the decisions that his government made last year has paid off.
The President remarked that the Country is seeing the fruits of difficult and unpopular decisions. He asserted that today the country’s shilling is gaining and food prices in the country have been lowered.
“When I told the nation last year that we cannot sustain subsidy, many people thought I did not think correctly but we got rid of subsidy and we instead funded our production.
Today, we are seeing the fruits that we have food in our country, prices of food items have come down, our dollar situation has improved because we have made the right decision.” President William Ruto said.
The President commited that he will continue making hard decisions for the betterment of the country even if those decisions are unpopular and difficult.
“I will continue with the path of making the right decisions for our country because you can never be wrong if you make the right decision, they may not be popular, they may be be easy but the right decision will always prevail and we will get our country where we want to go.” He stated…CONTINUE READING>>
