Both of these clubs have been extremely challenging to defeat throughout the years, and as a result, they have consistently finished either first or second in the Premier League.

Teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have been unable to stop these two clubs from dominating English football. Liverpool and Manchester City are currently the two clubs with the most points in the league.

The past few years have been difficult for all three clubs, and they have not been able to construct squads that are competitive with those coached by Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola for the league title.

In recent years, these teams have been making it to the knockout stages of the Champions League, which has contributed to the increased entertainment value of watching European soccer.

Nevertheless, there was one Premier League manager who proved to be a formidable opponent for both Manchester City and Liverpool throughout the previous campaign: During the 2017–18 season, Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte did not suffer a single defeat at the hands of Klopp or Pep.

He defeated Pep Guardiola both at home and on the road, despite the fact that his club was not quite as good as the Citizens. Additionally, Conte earned a point both at home and away against Liverpool, with Klopp coming perilously close to being defeated by the Italian.

A manager of world-class caliber, Conte never fails to bring home a trophy with any of the teams he coaches or manages. In an era that also had Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp as managers, he is the only one to have won the Premier League title.
