While speaking to the press, Vinicius Junior revealed that he expects one of his teammates to win an individual award in 2022. The Brazilian also hinted that Karim Benzema could expectedly win the Ballon D’or, as he has enjoyed the most prolific season of his entire football career. However, Vinicius Junior has also revealed that he wants the World Cup for himself.
According to reports, Vinicius Junior is happy to concede that Real Madrid team-mate, Karim Benzema is will beat him to the 2022 Ballon d’Or, However, in terms of the World cup which is to be played in Qatar, the Brazilian forward has sent a “no way that’s going to happen” message to the Frenchman, as Brazil and France could meet in the World Cup.
“I’m really happy that Neymar said that I should win the Ballon d’Or, but in my opinion, Benzema deserves it more. Karim also jokes with me that he wants to win against Brazil at the World Cup final, but there’s no way that’s going to happen.” Vinicius Junior said while on international duty with Brazil.
Brazil and France are heading to the World Cup in Qatar as two favorite teams to win the World Cup, with impressive depth boasted in a star-studded squad on both sides.
