The Molepolole Magistrates’ Court was gripped with shock and horror as a 49-year-old man faced charges of rape, assault, and threats of murder against his own sister, a 29-year-old woman, in a case that rocked the community of Dikhutsaneng.
The harrowing ordeal unfolded when the victim bravely stepped forward to recount the traumatic events that transpired in December 2012. Her willingness to speak out and confront the darkness within her own family serves as a testament to her strength and resilience in the face of unimaginable adversity. Her bravery offers solace and inspiration to other survivors of similar atrocities, shedding light on the hidden epidemic of domestic violence and abuse that lurks behind closed doors.
In response to this appalling breach of trust and decency, Detective Inspector Matlapeng reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to seek justice for the victim and hold the perpetrator accountable for his heinous actions.
