It is this summer that Liverpool and Bayern Munich agreed approximately £35 million deal to move Sadio Mane from Anfield to Allianz Arena, a deal that became a going concern last month.

Despite the fact that Klopp remained adamant that Mane is not for sale following the success they have had at the club since signing him from Southampton, the Senegalese hero had made his willingness to have a new challenge elsewhere very clear and it was out of Klopp’s hands.

Even though the Reds have already signed Sadio Mane’s replacement in Nunez Darwin, majority holds the view that the Uruguayan might take time to hit the ground running and reach the level Sadio Mane had set.

Having shared the dressing room with Sadio Mane at the international level for years now, Eduardo Mendy believes this move could render the premier league runners up vulnerable in future.

“I think it is a big loss for the Premier League in terms of quality and in terms of the person,”

“We’ve lost someone great and I hope for him he will enjoy the Bundesliga.

“He’s also a big loss [to Liverpool] because of his quality, the impact he makes and also because, for the young players, he’s an example. When you lose someone like this it can have a huge impact.”

From Mendy’s statement, is safe to confirm that Liverpool will have to suffer next season as a result of losing Sadio Mane in to Bayern Munich.
