Though Jurgen Klopp’s side kick off their Premier League campaign against Chelsea on Sunday, they still have three weeks left of the transfer window and they look to be far from done when it comes to adding fresh faces to their side.

The Reds have seen two bids turned down for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, but they are slowly approaching the Saints’ £50m asking price and a deal is expected to be done in the coming weeks.

It will complete their midfield rebuild, having already signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai in deals worth a combined £100m this summer, though they have seen several midfielders depart this summer including influential pair Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, both of whom have headed to Saudi Arabia in deals worth a combined £52m.

Now, they are ready to raid Brighton again despite having already signed Mac Allister this summer, and have turned their attentions to Estupinan.

Though the Ecuadorian left-back only arrived last summer as a replacement for Marc Cucurella, who joined Chelsea, Estupinan enjoyed a strong first season in the Premier League.

The rampaging fullback managed a goal and six assists during his campaign on the south coast, and that has reportedly caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp’s side, who are looking to find cover from Andy Robertson.

As per FootballTransfers, there are concerns over the fitness of the Scot and little faith in Kostas Tsimikas to deputise effectively, leaving Estupinan as one option to recruit before the end of the transfer window.

It is added that ‘even if Liverpool don’t make an offer for Estupinan this summer, there is consideration to assess matters in the January window’, with a centre back also on their radar for the remainder of the transfer window….READFULL
