Man United will continue its top-flight season on April 2 when it travels to Saint James’ Park to take on Newcastle United, another top-four candidate.

With only three points separating the clubs coming into the international break, this meeting has all the makings of a “top-four six-pointer,” despite the Magpies’ current mediocre fifth-place standing. If Manchester United can’t start this game on the front foot, they could drop points.

Three days after the Newcastle trip, Manchester United will face Brentford. One of the top Premier League teams in 2023, Brentford, was only five points behind fourth-place Newcastle going into the March international break.

Although expected to struggle throughout the season in the lower reaches, Thomas Frank’s team has surpassed expectations and is currently in contention for a historic European finish.

The Bees have only lost one of their ten league games this season (W5, D4), including a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United in August, so it’s tough to rule out the possibility that they will accomplish a Premier League double over them.

On the 8th of April, Manchester United will host Everton under their new manager, Sean Dyche, who has turned things around for the Toffees.

This could be tricky for Manchester United because Everton’s hopes of securing Premier League survival are still in the balance. Everton’s last game saw a last-minute goal against Chelsea to grab an important point.

After these congested fixtures, which are just three days apart, Man United will travel to Nottingham Forest on the 16th and Tottenham on the 22nd of April before they end the month at Old Trafford against Aston Villa.

And not to mention the fact that the Europa League quarterfinal clash will come up in April, as well as the FA Cup semifinal clash with Brighton. Man United may suffer drop points because of fatigue and possibly squad rotation.
