According to journalist Carlo Alvino, there has been established contacts between Napoli and Mourinho, with the Portuguese manager being proposed as a potential candidate.

Alvino further revealed that Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, initiated a conversation with President De Laurentiis, gauging the Italian’s interest in hiring Mourinho.

In a social media post, Alvino stated, “Mendes-De Laurentiis phone call. In the course of post-exoneration calls, Jorge Mendes, Mourinho’s agent, spoke to ADL to understand if there was any interest in his client. A wait-and-see response from the Italian president.”
