Wenger stepped down from the role at the Emirates in May 2018.

Saka then made his debut under the Frenchman’s successor, Unai Emery, in November 2018.

Wenger has not returned to the club ever since he left, and Saka has not come in contact with the 73-year-old.

“One of my biggest regrets – well, not regrets but things I’ve been able to do – is not to meet Arsene Wenger.

“I know how much my dad loves him and how much everyone at the club loves him and I know what he did for the club.”

Saka is currently with England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
