One of the benefits of eating goat meat is that it is low in fat. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), goat meat is leaner than the other common red meat options like beef and pork.

WHO notes that for every 90g of goat meat, there are 124 calories and about 2.8 grams of fat. When compared to same amount of beef there are 250 calories and 16 grams of fat. In every 85 grams of beef there is 76 mg of cholesterol, chicken has 73 mg while goat meat has 63 mg.
