The 21 years old has represented the young Lions of England at youth levels, but despite his excellent performance in the English Premier League, he has not been able to play for the Three Lions of England.

Lamptay was born in England to Ghanaian parents, and he joined Chelsea football club of England at the age of 7, and he was promoted to Chelsea football club’s first team by coach Frank Lampard in 2019/2020 season.

The youngster was sold to Brighton and Hove Albion football club from Chelsea football club in the January transfer window of 2020, and he has established himself as one of the best players in the club.

Lamptey made the total number of 30 appearances for the club in the league last season, and he helped them to finish at the 9th spot of the League table.

Ghana FA approached FIFA last year that the youngster is ready to change his allegiance from England to Ghana, and all the necessary documents were signed, and it has now been confirmed that he is now eligible to represent the Black stars of Ghana.
