Leeds stunned Liverpool with a last-minute goal from Crysencio Summerville.

The visitors seized the lead when an erroneous back-pass from Joe Gomez caught his own goalkeeper Alisson off guard, allowing Rodrigo to tap in with four minutes remaining.

Even though Liverpool won the game, especially in the second half, Leeds had the best chance to add to the score when Brenden Aaronson hit Rasmus Kristensen’s cross against the bar. This was before the late drama.

Then, in the last minute, Degnand Gnonto, who was making his first appearance, sent a low ball into the box. Patrick Bamford pushed it toward Summerville, and Summerville quickly took a shot that beat Alisson and went inside the far post.

Brighton 4-1 Chelsea

Chelsea lost their first game under Graham Potter as the manager experienced a dreadful return to Brighton, losing 4-1 at the Amex Stadium.

It was a first half befitting of Halloween weekend as a string of blunders saw the Blues deservedly 3-0 behind at the interval – with the joyful Brighton supporters screaming ‘You’re being fired in the morning’ at Potter.

Brighton pressured Chelsea from the beginning and went ahead after five minutes. Thiago Silva’s terrible pass – not the first he had made in the game either – ricocheted off Leandro Trossard from close range.

It landed into Premier League newcomer Kaoru Mitoma, who drove into the area and skipped over the Chelsea jerseys before finding Trossard.

The Brighton attacker then hoisted the ball over the approaching Kepa Arrizabalaga for his sixth goal under Roberto De Zerbi.

Chelsea continued to be their own demise as Brighton scored again nine minutes later. Ruben Loftus-Cheek turned Solly March’s corner into his own net.

Another own goal for Brighton. Trevoh Chalobah scored on Pervis Estupinan’s cross from Moises Caicedo. In the away dugout, Potter was startled.
