He made this statement, pointing out that this is not the first time a major ministry, department, or agency has relocated to Lagos State.

He further stated that there are other states in Nigeria, like Anambra, Kaduna, or Rivers State, which the CBN or FAAN can be relocated to, but the government chose Lagos State, just like they did in 1999.

Speaking further in an interview with Arise TV, Bashir Dalhatu stated that in 1999 the Nigerian Port Authority was moved from Abuja to Lagos, but nobody thought it was a big deal, but now the federal government has agreed to relocate CBN and FAAN to Lagos State, which begs the question: why Lagos State?
