According to the lawyer, the arrest of the soldiers by the police was a dangerous and humiliating act. He further urged the KDF not to let go the incident as it showed them in a bad light which demeaned their strength.
“The arrest of our KDF soldiers by Police in Turkana was egregious act. Turkana is safe from marauding tribes of South Sudan, Uganda & Ethiopia courtesy of our KDF,” Kipkorir posted on X.
He has further called on the KDF to raze down the Lodwar police station as a revenge action in order to deter such behaviors to continue warning that not doing this will diminish the honour and respect of the KDF.
“KDF should not let this insult go unanswered. Every Army in the world always protects its honour,” “KDF should raze to the ground Lodwar Police Station. Not to revenge on this act will diminish the honour and respect of KDF,”
In the video circulating on social media, KDF soldiers could be seen engaging in a bitter confrontation with police officers at Lodwar police station for arresting four of their colleagues.
It is said that the soldiers allegedly stormed the station demanding the release of the four who were accused of slapping and disarming a police officer manning a roadblock.
“It happened that officers delayed to remove the erected spikes at the said road block and the Kenya defence force (KDF) water bowser was approaching,” Police report said.
“The driver of the said water bowser alighted and slapped the officer on his right cheek. Another officer alighted using the passenger door and grabbed his rifle, an AK47 assault rifle, and cocked immediately,”
“He uttered the words, “Sisi tumeua alshabaab wengi, naweza kumaliza wewe sai,” In the video, the four soldiers could be seen seated outside the station as a senior police officer was lecturing them over their bad behavior of slapping a police officer manning a roadblock..<<CONTINUE READING>>
