Bishop Margaret Wanjiru Condemns Government’s Raid on Church. Expressing deep disappointment, Wanjiru emphasized the support her church had extended to Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, only to be met with what she described as betrayal and brutality.

“We loved you, we voted for you, we supported you but you’ve rewarded us with broken legs, arms, hurting bodies. You truly have rewarded us with evil,” she exclaimed.

Wanjiru’s frustration peaked as she recounted a recent event where she and other church leaders had come together at Nyayo Stadium to repent for past sins, including those committed against Benny Hinn, a respected figure in the Christian community.

Despite seeking forgiveness, Wanjiru questioned whether the government’s actions aligned with the revival they had hoped for, citing instances of land grabbing by government officials.
