3. Dennis Bergkamp – Best Arsenal Strikers Of All Time

Dennis Bergkamp broke the club’s transfer record by £5 million when he joined Arsenal in 1995 for £7.5 million. Early on in his Gunners career, he was considered to be a huge failure, but under Arsene Wenger’s leadership, things quickly changed for the better.

The Dutchman, who was in the height of his career, rapidly made a name for himself as Thierry Henry’s flawless shadow attacker. With 22 goals in the 1997–98 season, he led the team to a domestic double and was the club’s leading scorer.

His skills were transferable to practically any position in the final third, but his function as the number 10 attacking-midfielder was where he had the biggest impact. During his eleven years with the Gunners, Bergkamp won three Premier League championships and four FA Cup medals. Before hanging up his boots in 2006, the player scored 120 goals in 420 games for the team.

When you rewind the highlight reels of Bergkamp’s game, his exceptional first touch stands out as the most notable aspect of his performance. The former 79-cap Dutch international moved across the field with the grace and elegance of a dancer. Along with his technical skills, the former Ajax star possessed exceptional vision and a creative side.
