The well-known TV host of shows like “A Place in the Sun” and “Escape to the Country” on Channel 4 and the BBC respectively revealed that his first indicator of a problem was fuzzy vision while driving in Italy in August of 2020.

The actor claimed he was “given six months to live” less than a week after returning from filming A Place in the Sun.

The National Health Service (NHS) recently ran an awareness campaign in honor of Lung Cancer Day on the third Friday of August.

Tracy Bourne, a 59-year-old resident of Stoke-on-Trent, has been interviewed about her persistent cough that she first noticed around the holiday season of 2018. She became quite unwell with a severe chest infection in March of 2019.

She went to the doctor and got an X-ray, and then weeks later she found out she had lung cancer. She had lung tissue removed during surgery and is now healthy and doing fine.

Despite being sent for tests, Bourne initially dismissed the possibility that he had lung cancer because he had never smoked.
