The English ace has been on the radar of the Blues for quite a long time but according to Crook, he is assured that Declan Rice will remain at West Ham for at least a year.

Although according to Transfermarkt, Declan Rice is valued at £72m. Rice represented the Hammers 50 times last season.

“But I do think it would appeal to him, obviously having come through their ranks and his relationship with Mason Mount as well.”

Declan Rice move to Chelsea this summer is likely not going to happen because of the huge price tag of £150m placed on him by West Ham, Thomas Tuchel wouldn’t want to spend that kind of amount on a single player.

Reports indicates that Tuchel has been given £200m by Todd Boehly for signing in players this summer.

The Blues have also already spent around £50m on Raheem Sterling alone, which has taken a large chunk out of Tuchel’s war chest.

Of course, player sales could increase the amount of money he has to work with, but signing Rice for £150m on top of Kalidou Koulibaly and potentially Presnel Kimpembe seems very unlikely.

Ultimately, if Chelsea want to buy Rice, then they are probably going to have to wait until next summer.
