Certain players within the Chelsea team continue to prove that they simply aren’t good enough to be starters for the London outfit.

Let us take a look at three of them:

Mason Mount

It is incredible how Mount has dropped in quality this season. For two years the English midfielder has carried Chelsea but he is now a complete shadow of himself and does not deserve to be a starter currently.

Connor Gallagher

Some might say Gallagher wasn’t bad today, but for me, he simply isn’t good enough to be a starter for Chelsea. His poor technical ability makes it impossible for him perform magic with the ball and at a club like this, you need players that can perform magic with the ball.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Many people say Kai Havertz shouldn’t be starting games, but when your other option is Aubameyang, then there is no way Havertz won’t start.

Although, Havertz wasn’t particularly brilliant today, his impact was felt in attack. Aubameyang barely touched the ball when he came on and made Chelsea look like they were a man down.

Chelsea new boy, Mykhailo Mudryk came on for his debut and he showed just what Chelsea have been missing for months, if not years.

After just 35 minutes, it is clear that when he settles and players like Joao Felix (suspension), Sterling and Pulisic return from injury, the likes of Mount and Gallagher would drop down to the bench for good.
