The Los blancos defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup to lift their first trophy of the season with goals coming from Karim Benzema and David Alaba.
Karim Benzema is currently the best player in Real Madrid following his impressive performances so far. The 34 year old scored 45 goals with 15 assists in 47 appearances for the club across all competitions last season. He also helped the club win the UEFA Champions league title and the Laliga title.
Benzema has been nominated for the 2022 UEFA Men’s Player Of The Year.
Salah- 2nd
Mohamed Salah was also impressive in performance for Liverpool last season scoring 32 goals with 16 assists in 52 games across all competitions for the Reds.
He helped Liverpool win the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. Salah also guided the team to the UEFA Champions league final and a second place finish in the premier league.
Kevin De Bruyne- 3rd
The Manchester City midfielder netted 19 goals with 14 assists in 46 games for City across all competitions last season. De Bruyne also helped the club lift the premier league title last season and was named Manchester City Player of the Year.
Vinicius Junior- 4th
The Brazilian forward formed a brilliant attacking partnership while playing alongside Karim Benzema. Vinicius scored 22 goals with 17 assists in 53 games for Real madrid across all competitions last season. He also helped the club win the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Champions league title and the Laliga title.
Sadio Mane, Robert Lewandowski, Thibaut Courtois, Mbappe and Luka Modric are all among the favourites to win the 2022 Ballon d’Or.
