There were a lot to fight for on the EPL final day with battles such as the title race, top 4, Europa league and even relegation still on and all these battles were duly sorted out.

With the above battles in mind, we rank the winners and losers on the EPL final day:

WINNERS

1. Pep Guardiola and Manchester city

No better place to start than from the Champions, Man City who went against all odds and defended their EPL crown. Pep Guardiola’s team were losing to Aston Villa 2-0 on the final day but they turned the game around and won 3-2 at the end to win their 4th league title in 5 years.

2. Tottenham Hotspur

Antonio Conte has done an astounding job with Tottenham since he came in as Manager, leading the North London side to a top 4 finish in the process ensuring UCL qualification for next season. They confirmed it with a 5-0 thrashing of already relegated Norwich city on the EPL final day.

3. Leeds United

Few weeks ago, nobody believed that the team will survive the drop but after some dogged performances in recent games and a vital win over Brentford on the EPL final day, Leeds United secured their place in the League for yet another season.

LOSERS

1. Liverpool

The Reds quadruple winning dreams were ended by Man City on the EPL final day as the Citizens emerge as Champions ensuring Liverpool finished second, just a point behind, how close but not enough to win the league.

2. Arsenal

The Gunners thrashed Everton 5-1 but still did not qualify for the Champions league as they only it to the Europa league. It has been a disappointing end to the season for Mikel Arteta and his team.

3. Burnley

Despite a late goal, Burnley who have been seen as specialist in escaping relegation in the last few seasons failed to win Newcastle and in the process, confirmed their relegation down to the Championship, bringing to a sad end their more than 6 years stay in the EPL.
