The Cityzens could have won the English Premier League title earlier had they gotten all three points against West Ham United instead of a 2-2 draw. The Manchester side had to come from two goals down to get a 3-2 win against Aston Villa and clinch the title.

As the season has finally ended, we would be casting our gaze at individual performances throughout the season with the major focus being forwards.

In this article, we would be taking a look at the top ten best forwards in the English Premier League in the just concluded season:

10. Phil Foden

Phil Foden won the Young Player of the Season award for the second consecutive year this season, however, his form dwindled towards the end of the season, hence, his low position on this list.

The Manchester City forward scored nine goals and provided five assists throughout this season.

Jamie Vardy seemed non-existent at the start of the season but the Leicester City forward came towards the end of the season.

His timely form helped Leicester City get an eighth-place finish on the log and despite his slow start to the season, the English international still managed to score 15 goals in the English Premier League this season.

7. Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo was Manchester United’s best player in the just concluded season with 18 English Premier League goals to his name but he couldn’t inspire the Red Devils to Champions League qualification.

Luis Diaz is arguably the best English Premier League signing of the January transfer window.

The Colombian forward has been highly influential for Liverpool this season. In just 13 league games, the former Porto star scored four goals and provided three assists.

Harry Kane was weighed down by his failed Manchester City move at the beginning of the season but the arrival of Antonio Conte breathed life into the English captain’s season.

After the January transfer window, Harry Kane hit top form and after the last game of the season, the Englishman was on 17 league goals.

1. Son Heung-min

Son Heung-min was phenomenal in the just-concluded season. Aside from the fact that he won the English Premier League’s Golden Boot alongside Mohamed Salah, he also helped his team qualify for the Champions League. This is a feat that would have been impossible if not for Son Heung-min’s 23 league goals.
