According to Daily Trust, The council accused President Tinubu of neglecting the Muslims in the country, and failing to keep the promises he made to them during his campaign.

The Secretary-General of the council, Nafiu Baba Ahmed, spoke to newsmen in Abuja during a two-day conference to discuss the outcome of the election. He said that Tinubu has rewarded those who opposed the Muslim-Muslim ticket, and has mocked and frustrated the council and its cause.

He said, “We are bitterly disappointed because we gave our all to bring this government on board, but they are paying us back this way. Is this the kind of reward we bargained for?
