However, in response to the question of captaincy in the squad, the team has announced through L’equipe that the Paris Saint Germain winger, Kylian Mbappe has been instituted as the team captain.
There have been several reactions on this on social media, looking at the fact that there are other experienced players in the squad who can be the captain ahead of Mbappe who is still perceived to be very young to be the captain of a whole Les Blues.
The likes of Griezmann, Olivier Giroud have been the ones suggested to be capable captain for the side.
