Man Utd’s Potential Starting XI That Could See Them Derail Man City’s Treble Hopes In Fa Cup Final

Red Devils gaffer, Erik ten Hag remains optimistic about Antony’s recovery ahead of the FA Cup final against the Citizens at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

During the 4-1 Premier League victory over the Blues, the former Ajax winger suffered an ankle injury that led to him being stretchered off in tears. However, the Dutch tactician provided an update stating that the injury is not as severe as initially feared, and there is a “good chance” that the 23-year-old will be fit for the domestic cup finale.

Unfortunately for the Manchester-based outfit, they will be without the services of Anthony Martial, who picked up a hamstring injury in the final game of the campaign against Fulham. The France international joins Lisandro Martinez, Marcel Sabitzer, Donny van de Beek), and Tom Heaton in the infirmary

Luke Shaw, who experienced a back issue and was an unused substitute in the final game of the season, is expected to return and reclaim his spot in the starting lineup for the match against Pep Guardiola’s men.

The center-back pairing of Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof is set to provide defensive cover for experienced David de Gea, with the former likely to replace out-of-favor Captain, Harry Maguire. In the right-back position, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to displace Diogo Dalot, who recently agreed to a fresh long-term contract with the club.

Christian Eriksen may feature in the middle of the park, potentially replacing Fred and partnering with Casemiro, who previously netted at Wembley in the EFL Cup final. Bruno Fernandes is lilekly to be deployed as the number 10.

With Martial unavailable, Marcus Rashford, the team’s top scorer, is likely to lead the frontline, supported by Wout Weghorst. Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho are probable candidates for the wide positions.
