A provision in Campos’ contract with the Parisians, according to the article, forbids him from working “in parallel” with another “major club.” He must also pay to buy out the remaining years of his PSG contract in order to work entirely for Chelsea.

However, as Campos has ruled out moving outside of Paris, a one-way Eurostar ticket to London St. Pancras appears to be out of the question. He pledged his future to Les Parc des Princes in a statement to RMC Sport.

“I have a three-year contract here at PSG, as I wanted to, and I joined this club because I’m certain we can do something spectacular,” Campos stated. “I have the strength to stand up for PSG and do big things here.”

When asked about Messi’s future, Campos said that he and the Argentine will spend the next three years—at the very least—together in the French city.

He said, “When I asked Messi whether he wanted to continue, I also expressed my wish that he would do so for the whole of my three-year appointment. My absolute delight is with Leo.“
