The beloved dad-of-three, 33, was killed outside a gym on Peel Road in Skelmersdale on February 8 this year. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Mr Scott, a former prison and RAF worker, passed away in hospital shortly after.
Mr Scott’s funeral, who was described by his family as a “devoted dad who lived for his children”, took place in Rainford on March 11, reports LancsLive. In hopes of encouraging someone to come forward with information, Lancashire Police have released a video of Mr Scott with two of his children.
Detectives have continued in their hunt for his killers with four people, all from Liverpool, so far arrested as part of the investigation.
Two men, aged 25 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of murder while a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and a 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have all been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Officers from Lancashire Police have sifted through hundreds of hours of CCTV footage while piecing together the events leading up to and following his murder.
They found the gunman rode away from the crime scene on an e-bike in the direction of Skelmersdale’s Digmoor estate, before heading to Upholland. The police are still appealing for people to share any relevant CCTV, dashcam or Ring doorbell footage they might have.
Detective Supt Gareth Willis, the Head of Major Crime, said: “We have made some good progress in the month since Lenny was killed and our dedicated investigation team continue to work tirelessly to identify all those responsible for this heinous crime. This murder was clearly well planned and is nothing short of a calculated and cold-blooded assassination.”
