McTominay almost snatched a win in the dying seconds for United, only to head his shot just over the crossbar.
It’s a win that lifts United up to seventh, and next up for them is an FA Cup tie against either Newport County or Eastleigh in two weeks’ time. Spurs miss the chance to move into the top four but are now level on points with Arsenal above them.
