Here are four top signings who were announced today in major clubs across Europe’s top leagues;

1. Franck Kessie; FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona announced their first signing of 2022, 25 year old Ivorian midfielder who won the Scudetto with AC Milan the previous season,Franck Kessie.

The highly rated defensive midfielder was a driving force in AC Milan’s 2021/2022 league win,and Xavi Hernandez will be hoping that he will be able to deliver in the Camp Nou.

AC Milan made a post today wishing the Ivorian footballer well on his next endeavors as he joined FC Barcelona on a free transfer,the same time as FC Barcelona who made a post to welcome him to the club.

2. Andreas Christensen; FC Barcelona

Former Chelsea player Andreas Christensen was also signed by FC Barcelona on a free transfer from the London club,and was announced alongside Franck Kessie today.

The 26 year old Danish center back will help reinforce the Catalans defense,with the club still looking for more defensive options in the ongoing transfer window.

3. Kalvin Phillips; Manchester City

Manchester City finally presented their €45 million summer signing,Kalvin Phillips today at the Etihad Stadium. The 26 year old England born midfielder signed a 6 year contract with the Citizens today and was given the number 4 jersey at the club.

Kalvin Phillips in his first words after signing up for the England Champions said that he was happy to play under Pep Guardiola,and was hoping he will help them defend the league title next season.

4. Gabriel Jesus; Arsenal

Arsenal’s €45 million summer signing,Gabriel Jesus was finally announced and unveiled at the Emirates stadium today even though he completed his medicals about a week ago. The Brazilian striker signed up for a five year deal with the Gunners,and climbed up to second highest paid footballer in the club.

The former Manchester City forward will wear the number 9 shirt vacated by Andre Lacazette at Arsenal,with Mikel Arteta looking to get the best out of him next season.
