What Are The Early Changes That May Be Noticed If Cancer Of The Anus Starts Developing?

1. Subtle Bleeding from the anus whenever you go for a bowel movement. This is not normal and should never be taken as such, you may start seeing drops of blood in the tissue paper, don’t take it as a wound especially if it continues. Book an appointment with a specialist to have it examined.

2. Itching and pain around the anus. Unusual itching and pain around or inside the anus should not be taken for granted. They may appear like normal signs but they are actually signs of something that could be as serious as cancer of the anus.

3. Discharge of mucus from the anus. It is never normal for a person to see mucus discharge from the bottom, so don’t take it for granted.

4. Having problems controlling your poo or when you poo. This is otherwise referred to as bowel incontinence and it is one of the signs that you may have anal cancer.

5. Small lumps or swellings around or inside the bottom. If you start feeling small lumps and swellings around the bottom or inside the bottom, then that could also be a sign of anal cancer.
