1. Brain problems or defects in new born babies may lead to death. Some babies have issues with the part of the brain which controls breathing. Such a baby can find it difficult to breath and die of shortness of breathe. Some other babies can’t wake up so might die in thier sleep

2. Some babies have low birth weight. This problem is common in babies who are born prematurely (before pregnancy is due) or are part of multiples births (twins, triplets, quadruplets etc).
