The 22-year-old has signed a reported five-year contract with the Gunners, becoming their second summer signing alongside Kai Havertz.
Timber expressed his loved for the London based outfit , attributing his affinity to his brothers’ support for the club. Speaking to club official website, he said, “It was because of my brothers.
They were always Arsenal fans, and I just loved seeing Arsenal play. They had big players, the way they played, the style.”
With his technical abilities and pressing game fitting well with Mikel Arteta’s vision, Timber has long been on Arsenal’s radar.
He brings valuable experience, having won two Eredivisie titles with Ajax and being part of the victorious Dutch team in the 2018 European U17 Championship.
Having previously worked under Ajax coach Erik ten Hag, Timber’s reunion with his former manager at Manchester United was rumored last summer. However, he ultimately chose to join Arsenal.
