In this article, we are going to see five top signings that were completed this week in no particular order.
1. Gleison Bremer
Italian giants, Juventus, completed the signing of the 25-year old centre back from Torino on July 20, 2022. The deal was worth around €41 million excluding add ons. The Brazilian was brought in as a replacement for De Ligt.
2. Matthijs De Ligt
The 22-year old joined German giants, Bayern Munich, on a permanent deal worth around €67 million. The deal was rounded off on the 19th of July, 2022. He made a total of 117 appearances for Juventus in his three years stay, recording 8 goals and 5 assists.
3. Robert Lewandowski
The 33-year old centre forward decided to path ways with Bayern Munich after spending 8 years with them. He completed his move to Barcelona on July 19, 2022, for a fee of €45 million. The Polish striker recorded 344 goals and 72 assists in 375 games for Bayern.
4. Lisandro Martinez
Being one of Erik Ten Hag’s targets, Manchester United completed the signing of the 24-year old centre back from Ajax on Sunday 17th July, 2022. The deal for the Argentine defender was worth around €57.37 million.
5. Paulo Dybala
AS Roma were privileged to get a player of his calibre for free. The 28-year old joined the club as a free agent, after his contract with Juventus came to an end. His deal with Roma was completed on July 20, 2022. Reports have it that the legendary Jose Mourinho played a huge part in this deal.
