The blues fell short in the defense with the exit of Rudiger who went to Real Madrid. Andreas Christensen also made a switch to Barcelona. This leaves Thiago Silva and Chalobah as the main center backs.
Already Chelsea have brought in Raheem Sterling from City, they have brought in Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and are said to be after the signature of Jules Kounde of Sevilla. Chelsea did well last season defensively and they were one of the toughest teams to play against.
The Chelsea attackers Howe didn’t score as much last season. None of them hit seven goals in the premier league. That was poor from them.
With Lukaku, their main man leaving to Inter Milan for next season, they have no proven centre forward. They might be forced to rely on their wing backs for goals next season, yet again.
Chelsea are likely to struggle for goals next season if they don’t sign a prolific attacker. They have Pulisic who is constantly injured, Werner who hasn’t lived up to expectations alongside Havertz, Batshuayi and Odoi.Already they have Sterling, but he might not really be the answer in my opinion.
