After being denied what could have been the opening goal by Ecuador due to offside call, Enner Valencia still got it right against the host in the 16th minute from the penalty spot after being fouled by Saad Al Shred, Qatar’s Goalie, to make it 1-0.

Certainly, Qatar didn’t look like a team that have been together for 5 months, as they kept struggling to get out of their own half in the first 20 minute.

Enner Valencia header made it 0-2 from Angelo’s cross in the 31st minute after series of pressure on the host, Qatar. Enner Valencia sealed the half and has now scored the last five goals for Ecuador at the World Cup Tournament, getting himself into same shoe as Oleg Salenko of Russia, Pauolo Rossi of Italy and Eusebio of Portugal.

Although many Qatar fans left the stadium in the interval as they were humiliated by their team’s performance in the first half but the Qatari put up some passes together to make things look better in terms of Team work for the second half.
