Tottenham got off to a great start when they took the lead in the 45th minute through a goal from Porro. However, with a goal from Adams just a minute into the second half, Southampton grabbed an equalizer.

The second half was just as exciting as the first, with both teams looking to score more goals. It was Tottenham who took the lead once again in the 65th minute when Harry Kane scored a goal. They later made the scoreline 3-1 as Perisic netted a goal.

Southampton fought hard to get back into the game, and they were rewarded in the 77th and 90th minute as Walcott and Ward Prowse netted a goal each.
