The hosts dominated the first half and got their rewards when Jensen’s deflected shot wrong-footed Iversen to find the back of the net.

Leicester, who only managed one shot on target in the match, made it count, as Barnes latched onto Maddison’s throughball in the 52nd minute to equalise.

Neither side could find a winner, though there was late drama as substitute Baptiste was sent off in stoppage time after picking up two bookings in the space of three minutes.

That could be a vital point for Leicester, who end their five-match losing run. They stay in 16th but are one point clear of the drop zone.

Next up for them is a big game against fellow strugglers, Crystal Palace. Brentford miss the chance to move into the European places as they stay in eighth. They travel to Brighton and Hove Albion after the international break.
