In the English Premier League, there have been 16 matchdays and Arsenal currently tops the English Premier League table with 37 points.
This time last season, the Gunners were occupying the sixth position on the log with 26 points. This makes them one of the most improved sides in the English Premier League this season.
One of the major reasons for this improvement has been their newfound confidence and the summer signings made by the London side.
Manchester City occupies the second position. At the same time last season, they were occupying the first position with 37 points.
This season they have only collected 32 points. This shows that although they are still the best team in English Premier League, their form has dropped significantly.
Newcastle United has been the surprise package of the season. They are also the most improved team in the league.
Last season, after gameweek 16, they were occupying the 19th position on the league table with 10 points. However, they have collected 30 points this season and are third on the log.
Manchester United has been somewhat stagnant despite the general sense that they have improved.
Last season, the Red Devils were occupying the fifth position with 27 points. This time around, they also occupy the fifth position, but they have collected a point less.
