Chelsea will need a lot of patience with its players next season, especially those who haven’t seen how tough the English Premier League can be.

The competition for the Top 4 spot in the Premier League is incredibly fierce. The other teams are strengthening themselves in the transfer window and improving their squads’ quality, and they’ll be more formidable than ever. If Chelsea fails to keep pace with them, their dreams of finishing in the Top 4 might come crashing down.

The Stamford Bridge side will struggle to finish in the top four next season if they do not fully replace the players that departed the club before the summer transfer market shuts, particularly in the midfield. The club has already lost experienced midfielders such as Kante and Kovacic, with many more on the way out.

In today’s transfer window, acquiring players with such experience and skill will be too expensive. A dearth of experienced players in the locker room might have an impact on players’ performance on the field. As a result, the Blues have a lot of work to do before next season.

Another issue is Chelsea’s lack of depth in midfield compared to their rivals, which could come back to haunt them. Also, Mauricio Pochettino’s inexperience in managing at the top level could pose a problem. As a manager, Pochettino’s managing experience is limited, and he hasn’t tasted success at the highest level. There will be challenges he’s never faced before in his career, and it remains to be seen how he handles them.
