Cristiano Ronaldo is still trying to force his way out of Manchester United.
We thought by now he might have accepted he has to stay put, given there’s been zero interest in his signature from elsewhere. But the latest reports are that he’s still determined to go, and isn’t backing down after meetings with Erik Ten Hag and a return to England.
His desperation to keep the lead in the Champions League goal table means he simply won’t accept a year in Manchester without it.

We still think it’s a miniscule chance, but if Ronaldo continues to push for a move, United may be forced to accept an offer of almost nothing from another club, just to get him off the books.
If in turn Ronaldo is willing to accept a low wage somewhere just to play Champions League football – Chelsea might end up being the suckers who bite on the deal.
