Since Andreas Christensen joined Barcelona at the beginning of this season, the Danish Defender has been solid in the defense of the Catalans this season and the most painful that is that Chelsea lost him to Barcelona.
The West London club tried to offer Andreas Christensen a new contract last season but he rejected it before he later following Antonio Rudiger to La Liga in Spain last summer.
From a third or fourth choice Defender at Chelsea, Andreas Christensen has become a top choice Defender at Barcelona, and he’s doing that as Barcelona is leading the race for the La Liga title this season.
While Chelsea Fans might be pained for losing a Cobham academy graduate to Barcelona, I don’t think the West London club has anything to worry about regarding their defense.
Knowing that Barcelona got an elite Defender in Andreas Christensen for free, that’s going to strike a nerve but, Chelsea has done much to reinforce their defense with young and talented Defenders.
The West London club signed Wesley Fofana last summer from Leicester City and they signed Benoit Badiashile from Monaco in January. They also added Marc Cucurella to the squad in the summer.
