“Though you told us that the Bible talks about giving to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and for the wise men to leave inheritance to their children, you also ought to know that the same Bible asks parents to give their children what they ask for.

“When your son or daughter asks for bread, you give bread not a stone. When he or she asks for fish, you don’t give a stick. You give exactly what they are requesting and that is what doctors who are your sons and daughters are asking for,” noted Owino also quipping that the President can as well decide to sell his sh 10 million wrist watch and pay the striking medics.

This was in response to Ruto’s plea to the striking medics to accept whatever offer the government had given them and rush back to their places of work.

Ruto also said paying taxes was ever Biblical and that those faulting him over taxes were wrong and missing the point because his main aim is to turn the economy into a self-reliant economy.

“The Bible instructs us to give God what belongs to Him and to give Caesar what belongs to Caesar,” President Ruto stated, adding that he had resolved to wipe away the burden of debts from the country.

Ruto’s Government is also facing another threat from the opposition under Kalonzo Musyoka who has given an ultimatum to the Kenya Kwanza administration to put to and end the ongoing medic strike.

Kalonzo, through a statement, added that they will be joining the doctors on the streets soon if the State does not end the strike through a reasonable deal.
