In the video, Mr. Folarin is depicted blaming Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President-elect, for his party’s poor performance in the election.

However, in a personally signed statement, Folarin has distanced himself from the video and explicitly stated that he does not hold Tinubu responsible for his defeat.

He noted that the video was produced by his “sworn enemies” with the intention of creating a rift between him and the party’s leadership.

Instead, Folarin reiterated that he believes that it is only God who grants and takes away power. He did not delve into any specific reasons for his defeat, nor did he place blame on anyone else.
