Atiku claimed that the events in Lagos State during the governorship election demonstrated that Tinubu will control Nigeria in the manner of Germany’s tyrant, Adolf Hitler.
He accused Tinubu of unleashing his thugs on Lagos voters during elections.
This was revealed by the former Vice President’s spokesman, Frank Shaibu, in a statement.
According to Shaibu, Tinubu’s tyranny will make Nigeria yearn for the era of the late Military Head of State, Sani Abacha.
“That was a method used by Adolph Hitler in the 1930s,” the statement said in part. They were profiling Jews at the time and using them as a punching bag. Tinubu has launched an attack on the Igbo and other non-Yoruba speakers in Lagos today.
“With what transpired in Lagos, Tinubu has raised authoritarianism, scientific racism, and Yoruba ethnic superiority and intends to move it to the federal level.
“For the past 23 years, Tinubu has governed Lagos. During his leadership, the APC wins every local government election. When governorship and state assembly elections come around, he unleashes his thugs, who also target non-Yoruba ethnic communities, as seen in Lagos on Saturday.
“It is this that Tinubu intends to bring to the center: a Nazi style of leadership that will make Nigerians nostalgic for Sani Abacha’s previous military dictatorship.”
Igbos were attacked in Lagos State prior to Saturday’s governorship election.
Before the governorship election, Igbo-dominated markets were attacked and burned down.
During the election, several thugs affiliated with the All Progressives Congress, APC, urged Igbos not to vote.
The attacks came after the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate Peter Obi won in Lagos State.
