1. John Adams and John Quincy Adams, United States of America

John Adams, the second American president, led the nation from 1797 until 1801. John Quincy Adams, who succeeded his father as the sixth president of the United States, held office from 1825 until 1829. John Quincy Adams was well known for his skill in international relations and for his efforts to modernize the country’s infrastructure.

2. George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, United States of America

George H.W. Bush served as the nation’s 41st president from 1989 until 1993. George W. Bush continued his father’s legacy as the 43rd president of the United States from 2001 to 2009. For his leadership skills in the years following the September 11 attacks, George W. Bush is well known.

3. Pierre Trudeau and Justin Trudeau, Canada

Pierre Trudeau served as Canada’s 15th prime minister from 1968 to 1979 and then from 1980 to 1984. Justin Trudeau, who is still serving as Canada’s prime minister today, was chosen in 2015 to fill that role. Justin Trudeau’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusivity in Canada are well known.

4. Park Chung-hee and Park Geun-hye, South Korea

Park Chung-hee was the president of South Korea from 1963 until his assassination in 1979. His daughter, Park Geun-hye, became South Korea’s first female president in 2013 after winning the election.
