Chelsea started the game on the front foot as it took them just 12 minutes to find the back of the net. Sam Kerr beat Spur’s goalkeeper with a sublime strike from close range to give Chelsea a deserving lead.
Things got even better for Chelsea in the 26th minute. This time it was Cuthbert that found the back of the net with a spectacular finish to double the lead for the home side.
Reiten scored from the penalty spot in the 36th minute to seal a comfortable victory for the home side. Chelsea’s win over Tottenham talked them to the top of the Premier League table for the first time this season.
The West London club has recorded 21 points from just eight games this season. However, Arsenal and Manchester United have the chance to get themselves above Chelsea if they secure three points in their next game.
