After earning Man United Women their first defeat if the season, Chelsea Women host the ever calculated Tottenham Hotspur Women on the after but we’re victorious convincingly as they humiliated the visitors.
Kerr’s 12th minute strike was enough to boost Chelsea’s confidence as Cuthbert doubled their lead in the 26th minute to make it 2-0. Gurro Reiten made it 3-0 in the 36th minute to settle the half as Chelsea were outstanding in the first half.
The second half wasn’t really Chelsea’s game as Tottenham Hotspur Women rose to the game with new tactical approach to the game but unfortunately, there was no goal from both sides as the game ended by 3-0, giving Chelsea another wonderful 3 points.
In another venue, Liverpool continue their survival moves in the Top flight league after struggling, since their promotion to the Super League.
Away to Brighton Women, Liverpool opened scoring in the 17th minute from Kearns’ strike but unfortunately for them Terland put Brighton back into the game about 4 minute later.
Carter shocked Liverpool Women from the penalty spot to give Host Brighton Women their lead in the 26th minute to make it 2-1.
Robinson added more salt to Liverpool’s injury in the 34th minute, as she scored the 3rd goal for Brighton, to make mockery of Liverpool women in the first half.
Van de Sanden reduced the deficit for Liverpool Women in the 76th minute to make the scoreline 3-2.
Just when Brighton Women were waiting for the final whistle, Furness scored that vital goal to salvage a point for Liverpool Women as the game ended 3-3 on the night.
Chelsea Women are the new leader after beating stubborn Tottenham Hotspur Women by 3 goals. They have 21 points overtaking Arsenal and Man United Women and dropping them both to 2nd and 3rd spot.
However, Arsenal and United have both Played a game less to Chelsea’s 8 and could overtake the Blues next week.
Liverpool got a draw to stay 3 points off relegation but they continue to struggle after coming from behind to steal a point at Brighton.
