The APC candidate, Usman Ododo, was proclaimed the winner of the November 11 governorship election in the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The PDP governorship candidate, who finished third in the poll, alleged on Wednesday that the judiciary is no longer independent and has become a department of the APC.
According to the PDP Kogi State Governorship candidate, the common statement that the judiciary is the final chance for aggrieved individuals is now an empty slogan since the judiciary is gradually becoming Nigeria’s lost hope.
Dino said, “Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people; it is now a department under the All Progressives Congress. Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary?
“Regrettably, however, the judiciary itself has been on trial due to its tragic and glaring inability to inspire confidence and trust in its handling of electoral matters. “I have lost complete confidence in the judiciary.
